Hard Work and Achievement Honored at Annual Student Recognition Assembly

A few times each year, the Marymount Community gathers to celebrate student achievement and hard work. On Monday, September 29, we honored success both in and out of the classroom at our Student Recognition Assembly.

Assistant Head of School and Academic Dean Kathleen Macdonell opened the assembly by asking students to take a minute to think about one accomplishment – not necessarily a classroom achievement – of which each was particularly proud, and then to share it with her seat mate. This exercise set the tone for the morning, as we heard reflections from students who participated in this summer’s Marymount Internship Program, honored our burgeoning leaders who attended various Leadership Conferences over the summer and were entertained by musical performances of that some of our students, ranging from novice to very advanced, had been practicing over the past several weeks.
