Sailors knock the Knights out of playoffs

Last night, the Marymount Volleyball team defeated Bishop Montgomery on the road, to earn a second round victory in the Division IAA CIF-SS
Volleyball Championships. The Sailors will now advance to the Quarterfinals, where they will take on the Southwestern League champs, Great Oak.

Michaela and Caitlin Keefe had an amazing night for the Sailors, combining for 15 kills against the Knights. Charlie Robinson and Kyra Smith were a fierce duo at the net. Robinson led the defense with 9 blocks while Smith added 6 more. Senior Mia Mason had a solid performance with 19 assists, 16 digs, and an ace. Catherine Shepherd had impressive numbers as she recorded a 500% hitting percentage in the Sailor’s victory.

After the 3-0 win on the road (25-16, 25-15, 26-12), the Sailors will now host Great Oak this Saturday at 7pm. Come show your support as the Sailors take on the Wolf Pack!
