Sarah Burgess '15 Receives Christian Service Award from LA Archdiocese

Each year in March, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles awards a Christian Service Award to one Marymount student who has made outstanding commitment to service in her community. The award is presented during a special liturgy presided over by the Archbishop at the Our Lady of Angels Cathedral.

Our 2015 recipient, Sarah Burgess, has done extensive work with the Sandwich Builders ministry in particular, and has also consistently participated in a variety of other service opportunities throughout her years at Marymount. She is a senior member of the Student Service Board and served, along side her sister Clare, as the event coordinator for our incredibly successful Sandwich Builders event at Marymount last fall, where more than 1000 lunches were assembled, packed and delivered to several locations throughout Los Angeles.

Congratulations, Sarah, on your incredible commitment to service in our community!
