As I embark on my journey as Head of School, I am impressed and humbled by the remarkable young women who walk the grounds of this beautiful, historic campus. Their dedication to academics and commitment to social justice is unparalleled.
Marymount High School is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school deeply rooted in the principles and heritage of our founders, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. Since 1923, their vision for the education of women has guided our mission.
We offer a challenging academic program in a nurturing environment that allows our students to evolve intellectually, spiritually and creatively while developing purposeful leadership skills and respect for diversity in the RSHM tradition of service and social justice.
Our rigorous curriculum encourages students to explore, and ultimately discover, their interests and inspires them to work toward their greatest potential. An outstanding faculty commits itself to the individual needs of students, providing for personalized instruction and a collaborative learning environment in the classroom.
State of the art technology equips students and faculty with the tools they need for a 21st century learning environment. Our newly launched One-to-One laptop program ensures that all students have access to the digital tools that will optimize their learning experience and will provide our students with a far more complete world-view than ever before.
Our vibrant co-curricular program encourages each student to explore her talents – whether in athletics, student government, journalism, the arts, or campus ministry, the Marymount student can find her voice.
A recent study completed by UCLA for the National Coalition for Girls Schools (NCGS) affirms the beliefs upon which Marymount’s mission has long focused. Independent girls school graduates have a significant edge over their co-ed school peers.
