Service
Ambassadors
Advisor: Erica Huebner, Director of Admission
Marymount Ambassadors embody the spirit of Marymount. They are committed to their academics, and they participate actively in school activities. They are called upon during the year to serve at Admission Office events to tell the "Marymount Story." All students are welcome in this group. Training sessions, scheduled by the Admission Office, are required.

Campus Ministry
Advisor: Fran Ruth
The Campus Ministry Team is open to any sophomore, junior or senior interested in spirituality and community service. The team meets on a weekly basis and plans liturgies, prayer services and community service opportunities for the student body. The application process for the Campus Ministry Team takes place in April of each year.

Environmental Club
Advisor: Deborah Scherer
The Environmental Club meets once a week during consultation break. This is a student-run club with two coordinators who plan projects which relate to environmental awareness.  The Environmental Club has been producing WAPIs (Water Pasturization Indicators) for two years, which are sent to Africa to aid in the stuggle to find clean drinking water.  The club also leads Earth Day celebrations.

Math Tutors
Advisor: Marilyn Bennett
Math peer tutors are students who are passionate about the study of Math and who love to share their knowledge.  Students apply to the Math Department Chair, who selects tutors based on their grades and tutoring abilities.  Math tutors are available at every break and during lunch and Preps.

National Honor Society
Advisor: Lyndsey DeMuro '97
The National Honor Society recognizes students who exemplify the qualities of service, leadership, scholarship and character.  By identifying and honoring these students, Marymount High School hopes to provide role models for all of our students.  Membership in this national organization is an honor bestowed upon Junior and Senior students by the National Honor Society Faculty Committee on behalf of the entire faculty aqnd administration of Marymount High School.  Through their actions, NHS students are expected to demonstrate, both in and out of the classroom, the four pillars of NHS: service, scholarship, leadership and character.

Retreat Leaders
Advisors: Mary Resner, Ninth Grade
              Tenth Grade
              Dan Culbertson and Bill Klein, Eleventh Grade
              Patrick P. Lynch and Fran Ruth, KAIROS
All students participate in two retreats during the course of the school year. A team of students at each grade level, with the help of a faculty moderator, plan the retreat. Retreat Team Leaders are chosen in April, after an application process, and plan their respective retreats at several meetings held during the summer.

Writing Center Peer Tutors
Advisor: Kevin Flinn
Writing Center Peer Tutors are invited to participate in this club by the English Department.  Students who are selected are usually enrolled in one of our AP English Courses and are members of the Junior or Senior class.  Peer Tutors are available every day during the lunch period to help their fellow students with their writing.  The Peer Tutors are supervised and assisted by two Faculty Members from the English Department.
