Thank you for your interest in Marymount High School!
At Marymount, we believe the highest purpose of an education is to serve others. As our Head of School, Jacqueline Landry says, “It is not about being the best in the world – it’s about being the best for the world.” For the 2012-2013 school year, the Marymount Community is made up of 372 young women from 72 zip codes, 87 middle schools, and 17 religions. 39% self-identify as students of color and approximately 25% receive financial assistance. We are a diverse community, and as a member of an international network of over 19 schools, our global perspective is inherent in all we do. It is that diversity coupled with our spirituality and an ingenious faculty that helps to educate and shape our young women to become leaders for the global good.
Marymount seeks young women as candidates for admission with the desire and the potential to become innovative, critical thinkers and effective, intelligent leaders in whatever field they choose or path they take in life. A Marymount student not only challenges herself to find solutions but more importantly, seeks to ask the right questions. She craves experiences that are transformative in and out of the classroom and wants to be a part of something greater than herself. She enjoys collaboration and celebrates the successes of her peers with as much enthusiasm as she does her own. She is empowered to advocate for herself and others, compassionate in heart and mind, and expansive in her thinking.
As you embark on the high school admission and selection process, we invite you to campus to see for yourself why there’s no mistaking a Marymount graduate. In addition to our
admission events, we hope you will come cheer on our Sailors at an athletic event or applaud our Marymount Players at the fall play or spring musical. Check out Marymount’s

Sincerely,
