Marymount prepares students for college with its rigorous academic program and co-curricular opportunities.  The school strives to prepare students to be mature, independent and resposible young women ready to meet the continued rigors and challenges of college life and beyond.


EXPECTED STUDENT LEARNING RESULTS - Students at Marymount High School will become: 

Servant Leaders
  • Women who will integrate their learning into a life of integrity, empathy, service, leadership, justice, and spirituality and be able to evaluate life situations in light of these values.
  • Women who will commit to the importance of diversity in society and in our lives, and instill mutual respect among people within the community and for people beyond it.
  • Women who will understand the interconnectedness of the earth and its environment and their responsibility for its health.
  • Women who will fulfill the RSHM mission, "That all may have life, and have it to the full."

Effective Communicators

  • Women who will demonstrate a concern and appreciation for cultures and languages other than their own.
  • Women who will work collaboratively and successfully in groups.
  • Women who will develop the ability to communicate confidently and persuasively.
  • Women who will embrace and integrate new technology as a part of life skills.

Critical Thinkers
  • Women who will read, write, think critically and develop independent learning skills as a means of understanding themselves and the world.
  • Women who will balance their psychological and emotional health and well-being with their academics, athletics, and co-curricular pursuits.
  • Women who will apply problem-solving skills to real world applications.
  • Women who will demonstrate competence in the variety of disciplines at Marymount High School, and pursue their education successfully in college and beyond.


REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
  •     English (8 semesters), plus Writing Workshop
  •     Theology (8 semesters)
  •     Social Studies (6 semesters)
  •     Mathematics (6 semesters)
  •     Science (6 semesters)
  •     Modern Language (through third level Spanish or French)
  •     Visual or Performing Arts (3 semesters)
  •     Physical Education (3 semesters)
