Applying to Marymount High School

The 2017-18 application deadline has passed, however we may have limited spaces available in certain grades.  Please call the Office of Admission at (310) 472-1205 for details and questions. 

The application for the 2018-19 academic year will be available in late August 2017.
By completing this inquiry form you will be added to our contact list for future events and so we may contact you when materials for your daughters application year become available. 

Step I: Complete the Online Inquiry Form

Please note: If you have already completed the inquiry form, then you are in our database and do not need to fill out the form again. 

Visit us: Register for a "Meet Marymount" and/or our Open house. Registration will be available in late August.

Future Applicants: Please fill out an inquiry form so we can be aware of your interest in Marymount - and receive important email and mail communications from the Office of Admission.

Step II: Complete the Online Application. 

The application to join us for the 2018-2019 will become available in late August.

You may click here for a step-by-step tutorial regarding how to complete our online application.  This tutorial includes information regarding how to obtain your login information. Once you have your login information, you will be able to begin the online application!

The deadline is Thursday, December 14, 2017.

Step III: Interview with a member of Marymount’s Administration/Faculty
 
Interviews are held from November through the first week of February. Once you have completed the application, the Office of Admission contact you regarding your interview date and time. Both student and parent(s) will spend individual time with a meber of the Marymount community.
 
Step IV: Register for and take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam)
 
You may test at any school administering the ISEE. The ISEE must be taken no later than Saturday, January 20, 2018  in order to ensure we receive the official results no later than February 1, 2018. Please have the official scores sent to Marymount High School by using our school code (051715)
 
Step V: Download the Administrator, Math, and English Teacher Recommendation Forms

The Administrator Recommendation form should be completed by your daughter’s current Head of School/Principal, Middle School Director or Counselor. The Teacher Recommendation forms should be given to your daughter’s current English and Mathematics teachers. 
All forms must be received directly from the recommenders by January 19, 2018.

Step VI: Request a complete transcript from current school
 
The Transcript Request Form should be submitted to your daughter’s current school.  The transcript must include her completed first trimester/semester grades to be considered for admission.  Transcripts (including standardized test scores) must be sent directly to Marymount High School by January 19, 2018.

Optional: Shadow Visits
A limited number of spaces are available for our January and February Shadow Visit Days. Applicants who have completed their interview by those dates, are given an opportunity to spend part of the day on campus to get an insiders view of the life of a Marymount student. Details to register will be available in December. 

*Decision letters will be mailed and emailed March 9, 2018, to each candidate who has a complete file. Should you apply after the deadline, the Admission Committee will make decisions on a rolling basis depending on space availability.

Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) 

Marymount requires all applicants to take the ISEE by Saturday, January 20, 2018, in order to ensure receipt before the Admission Committee meets. If you are unable to comply with this request, please contact the Office of Admission.
