I felt many different emotions before my first day of high school - excited, anxious, but mostly nervous. Coming from a small middle school, I didn’t know what it would be like to go to high school with a bunch of strangers and upperclassmen. It did not take more than a day of classes at Marymount for all my fears to go away - I immediately felt a part of the sisterhood and community. I met so many new girls and was looking forward to creating new friendships and trying new things. Now, in my junior year, I am happier than ever that I chose Marymount. The students, coaches, and teachers create such a welcoming environment and I truly feel at home when I am here. If you told me in middle school that I would play water polo and that science would be my favorite subject, I would have laughed; but at Marymount, I felt comfortable to branch out and my experience here has helped me grow into a better person. I know that the confidence and passion for knowledge that I have gained here will help me succeed not just in college, but in all aspects of life.
