This course completes Algebra I for incoming 9th graders who need to reinforce their foundations in Algebra. Students should only enroll if the Math Department at Marymount has recommended or required them to take this course in order to quality for Geometry in the 9th grade. Special areas of study include operations with polynomials, solution of linear inequalities, operations with radicals, and the analysis and solution of word problems. A grade of 80% or above on the final exam is required for passage into Geometry in the fall.
