JV Volleyball vs. Sierra Canyon 9.06.22

On Tuesday afternoon JV took on new league opponent, Sierra Canyon. In the Trailblazer’s introduction to the Mission League, Marymount swept, winning both sets 25-11 and 25-14. The Sailors played good, steady volleyball to get the win. Leading the way was Stella K. ‘26 with seven kills. Jordan J. ‘26 (four kills) and Grace J. ‘26 (three kills) also contributed to the offense. Serving was a larger than usual factor in the win, as the Sailors had eight total aces on the day. Presley J. ‘26 served four and Olivia P. ‘26 had two. Payton H. ‘25 finished off the second set with two aces in a row! The Sailors are now 2-0 in league and looking forward to their next home match up with long-time league rival, Harvard-Westlake, on Thursday.
