All Souls Day and All Saints Day Festivities

On Tuesday, November 2, students filed into the Terry Leavy Lemons Pavilion to celebrate All Saints Day and All Souls Day with a beautiful Mass planned by the Campus Ministry Team. This poignant celebration also incorporated Dia de los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead, with an ofrenda set up beside the altar and breathtaking instrumental, choral and dance performances by the students.
Additionally, the Religious Studies classes learned about and took part in the tradition of Dia de los Muertos. Students honored and remember loved who have died by placing their photos on an ofrenda in the Marymount Chapel, as well as making paper-craft skull masks and marigold flower decorations.
