Golf vs Louisville – 10.17.19

The Sailors celebrated Senior Night while hosting Louisville at Rancho Park Golf Course for the last league match of the season. Senior Grace J. was showered with a bouquet of flowers, a crown, a handmade gift from Coach, and enjoyed an“In N’ Out“burger after the match. Coach Trent has coached Grace J. for four seasons and mentions what a pleasure she has been.

Team Captains Grace J. and Joelle V. played in the first group against Ava B. and Cassidy S. Grace J. shot the low score for the Sailors with a 49 and Joelle V. scored 55. After the first group totals the Sailors were down by 18 strokes. Emily F. and Morgan S. played in the second group against Maddie R. and Sam P. Emily F. posted a score of 52 and Morgan S. scored 65. With the second group totals the Sailors were down by 28 strokes. Katharine D. and Maggie S. played in the final group against Stella R. and Madison B. Katharine D. shot a 53 and Maggie S. scored 57. The Sailors final pairing played really well and helped get a few strokes back from Louisville lead.
It was a close match but the Sailors came up a little short this match. Louisville took home the Win with a team score of 240 and the Sailors shot 266 losing by 26 strokes.
