Varsity Soccer Wrap Up 2019-20

The Varsity Soccer team started their season on a strong note, showing great chemistry and enthusiasm, playing precision soccer and showing outstanding team spirit. The Sailorsparticularly enjoyed their early preseason win against last year’s Div,II Champions. The first four league games of the season were great for the Sailors. At one point, Marymount was tied for first place in Mission League and ranked 12 in Div II. This is the first time Marymount has been ranked in Div.II.

Unfortunately, the team succumbed to injuries and illness so the Sailors were unable to maintain their strong momentum to finish of the season. The team narrowly missed earning a birth in CIF playoffs but with only 4 seniors graduating, Marymount should be a strong contender for a League title in Sunshine League next year.
