At Marymount we see each girl as a leader, and everything in our program is designed to help develop her leadership style and skills. Our definition of a leader is an individual who is active and takes responsibility in every community of which she is a part. She identifies the needs that need to be addressed and has the knowledge, skills, and sense of responsibility to take action in an ethical way.
As an all-girls school, our students see other girls in leadership positions. All the leaders of student government, clubs, sports teams, and service groups are girls. We know girls must “see it, to be it,” and the models are all around them here as they work on building their own leadership abilities.
