A New Millennium

Marymount's curriculum continued to evolve, as it included a robust offering of seventeen Advanced Placement (AP) classes and nine Honors level courses. Keeping pace with technological advancements, smartboards and digital projection systems were introduced into all classrooms and in 2009, the school embarked on a one-to-one student laptop program.

Marymount's co-curricular activities and athletics boasted an impressive lineup of 23 sports and a diverse range of student clubs, including Honor Council, The Anchor, Sunset Literary Magazine, Mock Trial, Model UN, The Diversity Club, and Campus Ministry, providing ample opportunities for students to engage in their areas of interest and passion.

The school's enrollment expanded to encompass 65 different zip codes, drawing students from 95 middle schools.

Recognizing their responsibility to support underrepresented and marginalized populations, Marymount's students wholeheartedly committed to serving their local communities, actively collaborating with numerous non-profit organizations around Los Angeles, including A Place Called Home in South Central, LA.

Passing the Torch

Following the distinguished tenure of Dr. Mary Ellen Gozdecki, Jacqueline L. Landry assumed the position of Head of School in 2009, ushering in a new era of leadership and direction for Marymount.
