In addition, 21 Marymount delegates participated in the conference and earned three awards:
  • Rachel Sands ’15, Outstanding
  • Brooke Kaiserman ‘17, Outstanding

In the words of our 2013-2014 MUN Secretary General, delivered at the Opening Ceremony:

"This year, in solidarity with the 90th anniversary of the founding of Marymount, Los Angeles, our MUN secretariat chose the powerful theme, “Ignite Justice.” In doing so, we were inspired to connect our theme to the history of our founding order, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, an order that is rooted in social justice. This theme is centered around Marymount’s dedication to teaching and inspiring others to make a better world and become effective communicators and global advocates. Our goal today is to inspire each of you to go out and ignite justice for others, for the world, and for the future."
