Damon is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity financings. He has served as lead counsel in transactions involving a variety of industries, including manufacturing, technology, apparel, consumer products, business services, health care, construction, food and beverage, restaurants, sports, entertainment, media, and gaming. A significant portion of Damon’s practice involves the representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Chambers USA has recognized Damon: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business every year since 2014 in the area of Corporate/M&A: Private Equity.

Damon received a BA from UC San Diego and a JD from Loyola Law School. He is a Trustee at The Children’s Bureau. Damon also previously served for a number of years on the Board of Trustees at Saint Matthew’s Parish School. Damon’s wife, Lindy, is a Marymount alumna in the Class of 1989. Damon and Lindy have three children. Their daughters are graduates of the Marymount Class of 2020 and Class of 2022.
