Other Campaigns & Special Gifts

This school year, Marymount awarded $2.1 million in need-based assistance
to 1 in 4 of our girls.

Centennial Courtyard

As a part of the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Marymount’s founding, we are excited to have created a commemorative Centennial Courtyard, through which donors of $3,000 and above have the opportunity to make their mark on campus with a personalized paver.

This is a limited-time opportunity. All donors who have made an eligible gift during the current fiscal year (July 2, 2023 to June 30, 2024) will be contacted by the Development Office with details regarding how to customize the text for their paver.

Make your gift by January 31, 2024 for inclusion in the spring break installation. Make your gift by June 30, 2024 for inclusion in the final, summer 2024 installation.

The Centennial Courtyard will be a lasting testament to this unique time in our School’s history.

Endowment

Marymount’s Endowment is critical in securing the school’s long-term financial stability. The endowment supports current priorities through ongoing annual interest generated by the fund.  Gifts to the endowment directly support financial aid, faculty and staff professional development and general operating expenses.

Special Funds & Named Scholarships

Marymount has several opportunities for special or designated gifts that directly impact the experience of our girls. One of the most critical initiatives is the Named Scholarship Program, which directly supports individual girls throughout their four years at Marymount.

The Named Scholars Program
enables Marymount to assure families that a scholarship designation will remain with a student throughout her years at Marymount, provided her financial need remains, and that she upholds the general criteria established for her designated scholarship award.

All gifts to Marymount may be made in honor or memory of a beloved family member or friend.

Named Scholars can be established with the following gift levels:

  • $250,000: Establishment of a Named Scholar Endowment that will serve students in perpetuity, each one from her freshman through senior year.
  • $100,000: Commitment of $25,000 annually for four years to provide assistance to one student from her freshman through senior year.
To make a gift to Marymount's Endowment Fund, please contact Rachel Grella-Harding at [email protected] or call 310.472.1205 x 213.

Did You Know?

Did you know that Endowment funds provide support to the school in perpetuity? The endowment funds are invested, and a portion of the investment return provides support to school operations, which includes but is not limited to: financial aid, faculty professional development, and operating support.

Planned Gifts

A planned gift (or bequest) is a wonderful way to support Marymount. Donors who make a gift to Marymount in their will become members of The Mother Butler Heritage Society, Marymount’s special legacy giving club. Click here to learn more about our planned giving program.
