Interviews are held from October through the first week of February. Once you have submitted the application, you can self-schedule your family's interview in the myMARYMOUNT portal. Both student and parent(s) will spend individual time with a member of the Marymount community.

Interviews for the families applying for the 2024-25 school year will be held on campus .

The interview schedule will be posted by the middle of September. Though most interviews will take place Monday through Friday, we will have four Saturday options (October 21, November 11, December 9, and December 16). You must submit your application before you can schedule an interview, so if Saturday interviews work best for you be sure to submit the application soon to secure your Saturday spot!
  • Step 4: Recommendation Forms

Administrator, Math, and English Teacher Recommendation Forms for 2024-25.

    All Recommendation Forms
for 2024-25 will be available in your myMARYMOUNT portal under your checklist.  You will submit requests directly to your recommenders through the checklist in your myMARYMOUNT portal. Your requested recommenders will be able to submit their recommendation forms directly to us once completed through the myMARYMOUNT portal.

The Administrator Recommendation form should be completed by your daughter’s current Head of School/Principal, Middle School Director, or Counselor. The Teacher Recommendation forms should be given to your daughter’s current English and Mathematics teachers.

These forms can be completed after November 1, 2023, but submitted no later than January 12, 2024.

The Transcript Request Form is available in your myMARYMOUNT portal. You will submit this request to your daughter’s current school directly from her checklist.  The transcript must include the past two years' final grades and her current year's first trimester/semester grades and any standardized test scores.  Transcripts will be automatically submitted to us from your daughter's school through the myMARYMOUNT portal.

  • Step 6: Marymount Writing Assessment

Marymount will require a 25-minute essay writing assessment, proctored online for all applicants. This unscored writing sample provides the admission committee with a feel for prospective student written communication skills and overall thought organization.

Dates are: Dec. 19,  Jan. 17, and Jan. 18 at
4:00 p.m.  Students who have submitted their application or who plan to submit their application can register for a Writing Assessment by clicking here. Students are welcome to complete their Writing Assessment prior to submitting their application.

The Writing Assessment will be administered remotely on Zoom.

  • Step 7: Optional Character Skills Snapshot

Character and personal growth are an integral part of a Marymount education. Often grades don't tell the whole story. The Character Skills Snapshot gives us another lens to see the student in areas such as open-mindedness, resilience, and social awareness.

For the students who are applying from a school where their teachers are unable to complete teacher recommendations, we highly recommend that students participate in the 25-minute online  Character Skills Snapshot assessment.

No Test Admission Policy

Marymount High School
will no longer require
ISEE scores in the evaluation of admission files.

We feel flexibility, and reduction of stress and expense for families going through the admissions process to be very important.  Preparing for a test, whether it is at-home or in-person, causes a lot of anxiety and is often not accessible to all applicants. By removing admission testing, Marymount will make the admission experience more pleasant and create an equitable process for all applicants.

We are confident that the information we gather in the admission process, derived from the student and parent/guardian questions on the application, interviews, teacher recommendations, transcripts, and previous standardized testing, will provide us with a holistic view of each applicant.
