Living Curiously, Passionately, and Confidently

The Humanities at Marymount allow our girls to develop a deeper global perspective and sincere appreciation of human society utilizing the interconnectedness of different cultures, thoughts, languages and values as a lens to analyze and understand the world around them.

From English to Writing Labs, Modern Languages to Mesa Española, Social Studies to Model United Nations, and Mock Trial to our outstanding Conservatory Arts Program (CAP) and beyond, our Sailors strengthen their confidence, individual voice, and perspective through rich discussions so that they can embrace their role as empowered global leaders who challenge, inspire, innovate and create the change that they wish to see in this world.

With unique course offerings like "American Thought and Culture," "Global Voices," "Dystopian Societies: Future Worlds," "Modernism and Post-Modern Literature," "Renaissance Art," "Economics," "United States Government," "Digital Filmmaking," and "Social Justice" in addition to our exceptional Honors and AP course offerings, there are an abundance of opportunities for girls to hone their critical thinking skills, practice effective communication, and embrace their individuality both in and outside the classroom, sparking a life-long passion to live curiously with confidence.
