Orchestra

Whether you are looking to pick up a new instrument, or want to excel your skills, Marymount’s orchestral program will expand your talents far beyond the spoken word.

CAP Orchestra is open to all instrumentalists at any level, including the complete beginner. Repertoire includes classical, pop, jazz and selections for film scores. Selected topics in music theory, ear training, and music history will be discussed as it relates to the repertoire to build overall musicianship and music appreciation. Through CAP rehearsals, led by the instructor, students prepare for performances in various school events as well as a concert at the end of the semester. Students in this class will collaborate with the other orchestra students, choirs, and dancers at these performances.
