Christian Stracke is a Managing Director / Global Head of Credit Research at PIMCO LLC, a credit research group that covers all levels of the debt capital structure for targeted industries, including investment grade and high yield bonds, bank debt, and convertibles. Christian is a senior portfolio manager and member of various investment committees across PIMCO’s alternative credit and private strategies platform. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, he sits on the firm’s Executive Committee. Before joining PIMCO in 2008, Christian was a senior credit strategist at CreditSights and held positions as head of Latin America fixed-income strategy with Commerzbank Securities and head of Latin America local markets strategy with Deutsche Bank. 

 

Christian holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, and he was a Peace Corps volunteer, having served as an agroforestry extension agent in Mauritania, West Africa. Christian has three children. His daughter graduated from Marymount in 2020, and his sons attend Loyola High School.
