Lasan is well known in local, national, and international soccer and track & field circles. He has competed professionally in both track & field and soccer. In 1988, he competed in the Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea representing Gambia, West Africa, in both the 100M and 4X100M relay. Lasan joined the Marymount coaching staff in 1996, he has coached cross country, soccer and track and field. Today however, Lasan is most famous for his Lasan Bread. Delicious!

Dr. Daryl Doanhas twenty years of experience as a high-school mathematics instructor, including nine years at all-girl schools. He also has four years of experience as a science research coordinator, acting as a liaison between high-school students and university researchers. Recently he has also served as an Advanced Placement reader in calculus for the Educational Testing Service and has taught the da Vinci Innovators Course in the Academy for Engineering and Technology at the New College Institute.
Dr. Doan received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. At the University of Pennsylvania, he received his Master's degree and Ph.D., both in Bioengineering.
Valerie Dykeman joined the Mathematics Department at Marymount in 2001 and has taught in schools in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas, Texas. Ms. Dykeman earned her B.S. degree from California State University at Northridge and she holds a California Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Ms. Dykeman is the academic scheduling coordinator.
