Cari joined Marymount's coaching staff in fall 1998 where under her leadership Marymount won 6 CIF State Titles and 21 Consecutive League Championships. She attended Irvine High School and was named an All-American. As a member of the State Championship team she was named California’s Most Valuable Player. Cari played for Pepperdine University and was awarded All-American honors. She has also competed with a pro team Santa Monica Sharks and in WPVA beach volleyball tournaments.
Robin Kolstad happily joined the English Department at Marymount High School in 2010. She had taught previously at Verbum Dei High School in Los Angeles since 2005, and she served as their English Department Chair from 2008-2010. In 2003, She completed her B.A. at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) with a double major in English and Film/TV Production, and earned a minor degree in Philosophy. As a member of the LMU PLACE Corps, Robin earned her M.Ed. in 2007 and her California Clear Credential in 2008. In the summer of 2010, she was a writing fellow for the UCLA Writer's Project. In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Robin enjoys traveling the world and experiencing other cultures. In the last 10 years, she has visited 18 countries.
Sra. Amie Kosberg celebrates her 25th year teaching the upper level Spanish courses at Marymount High School in 2013, its 90-year anniversary. In her 30-year career she has taught all levels of Spanish, including courses at three universities. She earned her B.A. with a double major in English and Spanish from Kent State University in Ohio, and her M.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from Eastern Kentucky University. She has been a Reader for the AP Spanish Language and Literature Exams for 15 years. At Marymount she continues to establish many Spanish-flavored traditions that inspire students to embrace authentic language learning and cultural diversity. The Mesa Española, Pan Dulce, Certámenes, Meriendas and the annual trip to the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts are among her creations.
