A Letter From Coach Fabrice Sene

Dear Staff, Faculty, Parents and Students;

The varsity team had very successful pre-season, playing a difficult road schedule in the Palisades Tournament, Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix Arizona,  (the most prestigious high school basketball tournament in the country with over 100 teams participating from many states), and the West Coast Holiday Festival Tournament.

Marymount is currently undefeated in league with a 3-0 record winning respectively ( Immaculate Heart in Overtime, Ramona Convent, and Notre Dame Academy in Overtime). We are currently first in league since all our opponents lost at least one game so far.

The team members have worked hard to make you proud of them.  They are:

Seniors:  Elle Cameron, Alisa Mandanici and Megan Quan

Juniors: Alex Alcala, Mia Alexander, Chyanne Perkins, Chyna Perkins, Florence Turiaf, Christine Urquhart

Sophomore: Janelle Lew

Freshmen:  Mia Mason and Rhapsody Washington

We can take pride in knowing the team has had good success so far thanks to the incredible hard work that the student-athletes have undertaken and parental encouragement to make this basketball season a memorable one.

We want to thank you for the tremendous fan support we have received up to now, especially for the NDA away game when you were instrumental in that overtime victory.  It will be a great lift for the team to have a full house at Marymount for the next league game.  On Thursday, January 19 at 5:15 p.m., the varsity team will play our arch rival, Marlborough here at Marymount.  At 3:45 p.m. the junior varsity game will precede the varsity game. We need your help.  As the home team, we are requesting your support by attending the game and surrounding the team with cheering fans.  We know that your support will energize the team and show them what home-court advantage really means.

Your enthusiasm will have a profound effect on the team and we are sure will propel us to be our best. We hope you will join us courtside at Marymount this week as we strive to win a Sunshine League Championship.  Let make this an evening to remember.

 Go Sailors!
