Justin Baker Social Studies Teacher
Raised in: Ventura County, CA
Education: B.A. History, UCLA; M.ed., UCLA
One (or two) interesting facts: I recently officiated at a friend’s wedding. I love reality competition shows.
On why I love teaching: I love helping young people to grow during this important time of life. Being a teacher of History challenges me to always be learning, which helps me to be a better educator. The co-curricular activities I can participate in with my students are particularly rewarding as well.
Rebecca Bostic Theology and English Teacher/Anchor Moderator
Raised in: Washington, DC, Oregon & Arizona
Education: B.A., English & Theology, University of Notre Dame; M.A., Literature, Arizona State University
One (or two) interesting facts: I traveled to Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a U.S. State Department trip as a Catholic representative and journalist to help promote inter-religious dialogue. I was eight months pregnant when I went.
I consider myself a chocolate chip cookie aficionado and have very strong opinions on the subject. I also eat them far more frequently than I should.
On why I love teaching: It is so much fun to interact with the students, to watch them learn how to think critically about something and challenge what they are learning. I love when students come in with questions that they have obviously spent a lot of time thinking about and when they start to open up and share their own opinions in class. I find incredible satisfaction in teaching a lesson that goes really terrifically well!
Gaby Fogelson Associate Director of Admission
Raised in: Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, CA
Education: B.S., Psychology, Union College; currently pursuing a Masters of Educational Studies, Loyola Marymount University
One (or two) interesting facts: I am petrified of pigeons. I love french fries.
On why I love working in education: I love seeing how transformative education can be for a student, especially in a girls school. I love getting to know the families through the admission process. I love getting to know the girls and forming meaningful relationships with them once they enroll. It is particularly rewarding to be able open a door to a student whose parents may not have the resources to pay for an independent school education and change her life forever.
Kyle Graham Co-Director of College Counseling
Raised in: Upstate New York
Education: B.A, Economics, Hamilton College; M.A. Higher Education Administration, New York University
One (or two) interesting facts: I pole-vaulted in college and, to this day, when I drive under an overpass on the freeway I look for the sign displaying the height and wonder, 'could I clear this on a pole?'
On why I love working in education: A college education can be a transformative life experience and being part of this process, whether on the college side or the high school side, is remarkably rewarding.

One (or two) interesting facts: I have a considerable love of Spain and Spanish culture, which I developed when I did a year abroad in Spain, interning for a Spanish production company after college.
On why I love teaching: I love being involved with the process of helping students find their unique, creative voices. I also love having the opportunity to learn from my students as they respond artistically to the world around them.

On why I Love working in education: Students want an interesting life and colleges want interesting students. There is power in learning, especially about things that are completely new to you. I respect that and have been inspired by my students and colleagues to learn more myself.
