Sailor Softball Preview

Softball is ready to take the Sunshine League by storm this season. The team has a number of returning players and a great new group of freshman who are all ready to get the season underway. Additionally, Head Coach, Troy Brown is eager to get his third season underway. With a new addition to the team, Assistant Hannah Montalban- a standout player at LMU herself, Coach Brown looks forward to her expertize and an added set of eyes for practice and games.

Leading the way are this year’s returning seniors: Caroline Cooper, Genna Whittell, Lucy Isaac, Natalie Elliott, and Nikki Livitsanos. Rounding out the upper-class athletes are returning Juniors, Marina Davis and Sophie Knepper. Looking to make an impact this year is Cassidy Capata, the only returning sophomore. What a great base to build off of with our new freshman additions: Devin Waddell, Emily Buchi, Mary Cooper, Mika Jefferies, Sarah Ambrose and Sofia Lombardo and not to be forgotten, the new junior player Elle Lavin.

The Sailors are looking forward to kicking off a fun and competitive season with their first game against Brentwood on March 7th. Come out and support the softball team.
