Human Development

The Academic Advisors coordinate the Human Development Program at each grade level. Through this program, each student develops and strengthens her inner resources, learns how to be her own advocate, and discovers those resources available to her in the school and in the community. The development of good decision-making skills throughout one's life is emphasized. Students are introduced to the college selection process in the Ninth and Tenth grades with increasing concentration on that process occurring in the Eleventh and Twelfth Grades. These class meetings provide an invaluable opportunity for advisors to acquaint themselves with issues that are of most concern to their students.
