JV Basketball Season Wrap-up – 2018-19

The JV Basketball team had a fantastic season, which Coach Marcus considered a complete success. The Sailors finished the season 13-2 overall and 5-1 in league. Along with Notre Dame Sherman Oaks, they were Sunshine League Co-Champions. The JV team had 3- Freshmen, 3- Sophomores and 4- Juniors on their roster. This team played with so much heart and effort it was inspiring for everyone to watched. The season’s success is a testimony to the hard work and dedication that was executed on a daily basis.

Marymount’s tournament highlight was going undefeated and winning the Buroughs Tournament.
This season’s stand out moments for the Sailors were beating NDA after suffering their first loss of the season against them and winning 13 games and only losing 2.
This coming postseason is a special time for Coach Marcus and Varsity Coach Edison as they plan to help the team hone their skills and develop a deeper understanding of the game as well as further developing their fundamentals
Through consistent action and relentless effort of playing the game together, Marymount will become a stronger and a smarter team. Quotes from Coach Marcus. “The more they play together the more they learn together” and “With togetherness everyone achieves more”.
