Mark Villano, CSP

Fr. Mark is Associate Director at the University Catholic Center at UCLA. He holds a BA in Social Work and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and an MFA in Film from USC.

Fr. Mark has ministered in pastoral assignments across the United States. He has served in the campus ministry centers at Ohio State University and Yale. He was also the Director of Campus Ministry at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, and Marymount California University (MCU) in Rancho Palos Verdes. He also served as Mission Director.

Fr. Mark has a strong interest in media and filmmaking and was Director of Creative Development at Paulist Productions, a faith-based production company in Los Angeles. He was also Documentary Director for the “Humanitas Prize,” an annual series of awards given to television & film writers who show “humanizing achievement” in writing. Fr. Mark has taught screenwriting at Ohio State, theology and philosophy courses at MCU, and was a Visiting Lecturer in Religion and the Arts at Yale.
