Better Self for a Better World Conference

Marymount’s annual “Better Self for a Better World” conference for middle-school-aged girls was held this past weekend and was a fun Marymount student-led event that sparked deep discussions on topics ranging from self-confidence, friendship, open-mindedness, respect, and how leadership and ideas impact the world.
In addition to insightful discussions, students also bonded over creating friendship bracelets, hexagon reflections and showed their competitive sides with 6th-8th grade-level competitions.

Parents were also invited to a morning “Thought Talk” with Head of School, Jacqueline L. Landry to learn the latest research with teenagers, specifically around brain development, emotions, peer pressure, and technology.
