• Varsity Volleyball vs. Harvard Westlake 9.26.23

  Last week Marymount hosted Harvard Westlake and all three teams played strong and pulled a clean sweep. Frosh Soph won in two sets (25-19, 25-8) and JV also won in 2 sets (25-8, 25-12). Varsity served strong; Ryan G. '25 with 7 aces, Annika A. '24 with 5, and Sammy D. '26 with 5. Ryan G. passed a 2.4 on serve receive. Sammy D. had 8 kills and Kate M. '24 had 7 kills. They blocked well too, with Elle V. '26 having 2 huge solo blocks 5 assists and Gabby D. '24 with 3 blocking assists. Annika A. had 15 setting assists and the Sailors prepare for their next games. 

• Durango Tournament

  The Marymount Sailors traveled to Las Vegas for the Durango Tournament, their first travel tournament of the season. Over the two days they went 5-2. On the whole tournament weekend overall, they served strong with Ryan G. '25 having 10 aces, Annika A. '24 had 9 and Sammy D. '26 had 9 aces as well. Overall, Kate M. '24 had 48 kills, Sammy D. had 45 kills, Elle V. '26 had 30, Gabby D. '24 had 20 and Frankie J. '26 had 17. Elle V. had 3 solo blocks and 10 blocking assists. Karys C. '27 had 31 digs, Annika A. had 29, Kate M. had 29 digs and Sammy D. had 28 digs as well. Annika A. had 78 setting assists and Olivia P. '26 had 58 assists. The Sailors head back in the gym to prepare for their next games. 

• Volleyball vs. Marlborough 9.19.23

  This past Tuesday Marymount hosted Marlborough. JV and Frosh Soph both won in two sets; both scoring 25-9 and 25-12. Varsity played tough with Ryan G. '25 serving 4 aces, Gabby D. '24 having 3 aces, Annika A. '24 having 3 aces and Sammy D. '26 having 3 aces also. Ryan passed a 2.42 on serve receive and Sammy had 14 digs. Elle V. '26 had 14 kills, Sammy had 12 and Kate M. '24 had 11. Elle had 7 blocking assists as well as a solo block and Frankie J. '26 also had a strong solo block. Annika A. had 21 setting assists and Olivia P. '26 had 16 assists. The Sailors get ready for their first travel tournament of the season where they play in Las Vegas.
